The Local Consultative Group (LCG)  is composed of 32 Bangladesh-based representatives of bilateral and multilateral donors of the BDF and the Secretary, Economic Relations Division (ERD), representing the Government. In order to facilitate more in-depth dialogue and collaboration on specific sectors or thematic areas, 21 LCG Sub-Groups are in operation. The LCG Sub-Group on Private Sector Development provides a forum for information exchange, coordination and collaboration among donors and the Government of Bangladesh in the area of private sector development.

The Sub-Group organizes presentations/discussions and regular sharing sessions on lessons learned; engages in and encourages constructive dialogue between donors and the government on issues relevant to private sector development; and jointly conducts reviews or studies on areas of common interest.

It occasionally invites government representatives and stakeholders from the private sector and non-governmental organizations to its meetings in order to strengthen the dialogue among these groups.
