event to launch its upcoming flagship report “Realizing Africa’s Wealth – Building Inclusive Businesses for Shared Prosperity“, 24 May 2013 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Danida is hosting
Danida Development Days 28-29 May 2013, in Copenhagen, Denmark, focusing on two main areas: a human rights-based approach and green growth.
SAWTEE, together with
IDRC, is organizing a regional consultation on
Green Economy: Opportunities and Challenges for South Asia
23-24 June 2013, in Kathmandu, Nepal. This aims to bring
together experts and policy makers in the field to identify research
agenda and create a network of research institutions dedicated to
promoting green growth in the region.
UNU-WIDER is hosting a Conference entitled '
Learning to Compete: Industrial Development and Policy in Africa in Helsinki, Finland, 24-25 June 2013. It will build on the research from the collaborative project between
UNU-WIDER, the Brookings Institution and the African Development Bank,
and aims to bring together research on industrial development and
industrial policy in Africa.

AMZJ are organising the conference
Cracking the Nut 2013 in Dresden, Germany, 25-26 June 2013 for multinational companies, investors, and development practitioners. It will look at best practices of sustainable sourcing for global agricultural supply chains in three themes: Ensuring Food Safety and Sustainability, Facilitating Traceability and Certification and Creatively Financing Supply Chains.
The Maastricht School of Management offers a two-week summer school for students, researchers and programme managers on
women and entrepreneurship in developing countries, 22 July to 2 August in Maastricht, the Netherlnads.
IDC organises an
introductory training seminar on GIZ's ValueLinks methodology, 26-30 August 2013, in Feldafing, Germany. The course aims to enhance the skills of participants in designing,
implementing and monitoring value chain development projects.

The University of
San Diego’s Ahlers Center for
International Business and the Center for Peace and Commerce, along with
the Institute for Economics and Peace, are organising the
2013 Leadership for Peace and Prosperity Conference, October 3-5, 2013. This conference provides a forum for sharing best practices, research and insight on the dynamic nexus of
conflict, violence, sustainable peace and business. The goal of this conference is to have both business practitioners and academics come together to discover
and discuss ideas related to the nexus between business and sustainable peace.

The
International Training Centre of the ILO hosts the
DCED training course on PSD in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Environments in Turin, Italy, 16-18 October 2013. This inter-agency training course was initiated and developed under the auspices of the DCED. You can register
