ILO is seeking a Chief Technical Advisor and Market Development Officer for the "Road to Jobs: Bringing Decent Work to Rural Households of the Northern Provinces in Afghanistan" project funded by Sida. Both roles must support the implementation of the DCED Standard. Apply by 12 February 2015.

Swisscontact
 is looking for a Head of Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM) for the third phase of Katalyst, a market development project that aims to contribute to increasing the income of poor men and women in rural areas in Bangladesh. Successful candidates will be based in Dhaka, and must be familiar with the most recent trends in private sector development and MRM including, preferably, the DCED Standard and audits.

General vacancies in PSD

Itad is recruiting a Consultant/Senior Consultant in Private Sector Development, Markets & Trade, to be based in the Brighton area, UK. Responsibilities will include technical and project management inputs into a portfolio of projects, and work to contribute to new methodologies in the area of Private Sector Development. The Mastercard Foundation is seeking a Senior Manager, Knowledge Management. The successful candidate will assume primary responsibility for driving improved knowledge management systems and associated learning processes for the Foundation.

Swisscontact is hiring three entrepreneurship/ start-up specialists in the Western Balkans, Peru and Vietnam. Apply by 31 January 2015.

The Cambodia Agricultural Value Chain Program (CAVAC) is recruiting for an Export Advisor in Phnom Phenh for three to six months with the possibility of an extension. The closing date for applications is 9 February 2015. 

DFID is tendering an independent evaluation of TradeMark East Africa, a programme which aims to improve trade competitiveness in East Africa by reducing transport times/costs and improving the trade environment. The contract starts on 13 March 2014 and lasts for 45 months. Apply by 13 February 2015 at 14:00 GMT.

Swisscontact
is recruiting a full-time Senior Technical Advisor to provide support to its markets systems development projects across South East Asia. As such, it requires flexibility and a willingness to travel. This is a senior position, reporting directly to the Regional Director. The duty station is planned for Yangon but could also be Cambodia (Swisscontact is currently finalizing the assessment on placement of international staff).

Calls for Research proposals

The Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GrOW) program has announced a call for research proposals on the effects of patterns of growth on women’s economic empowerment. This aims to generate new evidence on the impact of specific growth patterns, and which public policies and interventions can ensure that the positive effects of growth on women’s empowerment are enhanced. Applications must be submitted by 17:00 (GMT)/12:00 (EST) on February 23, 2015. The GrOW programme is a joint initiative of DFID UK, The Hewlett Foundation, and IDRC. 

In preparation for the fifth Global Review on Aid for Trade, 30 June to 2 July 2015 in Geneva, the WTO calls for case studies on Aid for Trade from donors and other relevant stakeholders. The deadline for case study submissions is 31 January 2015.
