Introduction
There is a growing interest among DCED member agencies in public-private partnerships (PPP) as a means to leverage private sector resources and achieve developmental goals in cost-effective ways. Meanwhile, business leaders are increasingly interested in social and developmental issues. They are often willing to invest their own resources in initiatives that would have developmental outcomes while achieving commercial goals.

public-private-partnerships which report impact on employment and incomes at scale. Most of the PPP programmes featured so far provided financial support to private sector investments; one provided advice.
In September 2010, DCED member agencies issued the "Bilateral Donors' Statement in Support of Private Sector Partnerships for Development" at the UN Private Sector Forum on the Millennium Development Goals.
