Training and Events on Inclusion, including Women’s Economic Empowerment and Gender Issues
- UNIDO offer a self-paced, free, online training course on gender lens investing (GLI) for donor staff. Learners should plan to dedicate 1 – 1.5 hours to each of the six modules.
- FAO offers a free online training on developing gender-sensitive value chains, primarily targeted at development practitioners and policy makers working on the development of sustainable food systems.
- The World Bank offers a free introductory online training on Gender Equality and Development and a separate free, self-paced course on Gender in Agriculture.
Training and Events on Green Growth
- UN CC:e-Learn offers a self-paced 30-hour course in English on Green Industrial Policy: Promoting Competitiveness and Structural Transformation.
Training and Events on the DCED Standard and Results Measurement in PSD
Please note that these events are not organised by DCED, unless stated otherwise. Any provider of training in skills related to the DCED Standard is invited to write to the Secretariat with details, for possible inclusion.

Training, Events and Support on Market Systems Development (MSD)
- DevLearn offer an online training course on Market Systems Development in May 2026. The course will introduce the core concepts of market systems development and provide simple, practical tips to enable you to implement them in your context. - Opportunities Unlimited offers a course modelled on an E-MBA for donors and development practitioners on managing systems development in a changing aid landscape. The focus is on how to practically manage for systemic outcomes, based on having the right information, people, partners and processes to work with. The course includes a one-week in-person training in Nairobi (April 13 – 17, 2026), followed by a one-year of tailored coaching with Harald Bekkers, Fouzia Nasreen and Marshall Bear. - Agora Global offer a self-paced online course, Market Systems Development for Implementers. It covers the key concepts and frameworks necessary to help design and implement effective market-based interventions, through 8 interactive modules. Find out more on the Agora Global website.
- The Canopy Lab offers CANOPY CONNECT – a helpdesk designed to provide on-demand support for (market) systems thinkers, development practitioners, and organizations driving impact. Their expertise spans monitoring, evaluation, and learning; gender equality and women’s economic empowerment; inclusion; climate change; and the environment.
Training and Events on Inclusive Business
- The Inclusive Business Action Network (IBAN) has developed an e-learning course “Introduction to Inclusive Business” focusing on the definition and basic features of inclusive business (IB); IB target groups and how they are involved in the value chain; different IB approaches and the IB ecosystem. The course targets impact entrepreneurs and managers, policymakers, impact investors and the general public.
