We’re Hiring! Join our team as a Communications Specialist
The Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED) Secretariat is looking for a versatile Communications Specialist to help us share knowledge and insights on private sector development (PSD) to a global network of donors, UN organizations, and development experts.
As part of the DCED Secretariat, you’ll play a key role in curating and communicating valuable PSD content through various platforms, including our large website, LinkedIn, YouTube, and during in-person events. This position offers the opportunity to shape our communication strategy, develop high-quality knowledge products, and engage with a diverse, international community of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communications strategies and yearly plans
- Curate and create content for multiple platforms (website, social media, newsletters)
- Support in-person and online events (some travel required)
- Collaborate with a dynamic global team of PSD experts
What we’re looking for:
- Proven communications experience (preferably in development or PSD)
- Strong writing, editing, and design skills (Microsoft Office, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress)
- Strategic thinking and ability to engage multiple diverse audiences
- Fluency in English (native speaker preferred; additional languages are a plus)
Contract Details:
- Up to 60 days per year commitment, working with a small mainly part-time team
- Home-based remote, based within 6 hours of Central European Time

- The Canopy Lab is hosting a free global conversation series on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Market Systems Development. Designed to bring together development professionals from around the world, the series will consist of three interactive sessions and a final webinar, and sessions have been designed to accommodate different time zones.

- The DCED is hosting another round of it’s highly popular results measurement webinar series! Upcoming webinars include “The What, Why and How of Results Chains”; more information and registration link is posted to the DCED’s events portal, Swapcard.
- DevLearn offer an online training course in May 2025 showing you how to measure and use results using the DCED Standard for Results Measurement. The course lasts four weeks and will take approximately one day of work per week. Find out more and sign up via the DevLearn website.

- The Inclusive Business Action Network (IBAN) has developed an e-learning course “Introduction to Inclusive Business” focusing on the definition and basic features of inclusive business (IB); IB target groups and how they are involved in the value chain; different IB approaches and the IB ecosystem.
